Kenya and Ethiopia. Pokot or Turkana headrest resembling an abstract figure with bent arms at sides supporting vaulted neckrest. Deep red-brown burnished and slightly oily patina. With a Gujara headrest from Ethiopia having stacked flared base, incised with linear patterns, and wrapped with an old fabric zipper tape at the neck. Dark brown patina slightly oily at curved pillow, areas of white deposits. 7" H and 7.25" H (17.78 cm H and 18.42 cm H).
