Description
19th Century Italian Grand Tour Marble Bust of Augustus Caesar by Antonio Frilli. White marble bust is on a black plinth. Antonio Frilli was a Florentine sculptor who specialized in marble and alabaster statutes and was well known in Europe, the United States, and Australia as he took part in several world's fair exhibitions. The name 'Augusto" is carved into the base of the statue. Bust has sculptor's name written in script on reverse side "A. Frilli, Florence".
