This elegant woodblock print captures a courtesan gracefully walking in the snow, wrapped in a richly patterned kimono with intricate floral and geometric designs. Holding a delicate yellow parasol, she shields herself from the softly falling snowflakes, a hallmark of Harunobu's poetic and refined style. Originally created around 1765, this piece exemplifies the bijin-ga (beautiful women) genre of ukiyo-e. This is a later restrike, not an original 18th-century striking, but it beautifully preserves the delicate lines and soft color palette of Harunobu's timeless work.
