Antique Berber unglazed clay storage pot from Morocco, dating from the early 20th century, with a softly rounded form and a naturally aged surface marked by time and use.
Hand-formed from natural clay and fired in a traditional wood kiln, this pot was originally used for storing dates, grains, and spices in rural households. Its matte, unglazed finish and subtle variations in tone reflect both the firing process and decades of patina developed through daily use.
Produced in the Draa Valley region, this pot embodies the Berber pottery tradition known for its durable forms, restrained decoration, and functional elegance. Each irregularity in the surface is a trace of its making and long history of use.
