Set of (9) US State Department Gold Seal Water/Wine Glasses made by "Bayel--France". Pattern Name is "Baguette". Each glass has the Official State Seal with a 22k thin gold rim and base. Size: 8 3/8" h x3 1/2 d. Very slight wear to gold on (3) glasses and (1) with a tiny flaw on underside of base. One glass shows noticeable wear.

The glasses are from the estate of Idar Rimestad Ambassador to the United Nations European Office in Geneva from 1969-1973. In 1967 he was appointed Deputy Undersecretary of State by President Lyndon B. Johnson. See supporting documentation.
