A stunning 13-piece antique English dessert service by Davenport of Longport, Staffordshire, one of England's most celebrated porcelain manufacturers (est. 1794–1887). The set comprises one footed compote/cake stand and twelve dessert plates, all in the same pattern: pattern number 1288, featuring exuberantly hand-painted emerald green ivy and acanthus leaves with rich gilt highlights cascading around scalloped borders, and a delicate gilded medallion at the center.

The footed compote stand is a particularly rare and elegant centerpiece form. All pieces bear the blue printed Davenport Longport backstamp. Minor wear to gilding consistent with age and use; no chips or cracks noted.
