This dinnerware from Wedgwood England dates to 1937 (now discontinued ) and is ready to grace another home for many years. The set is part of the "Corinthian" series and the pattern is "Hampton Court" with celadon or mint green rim.
The center of each plate is decorated with delicate blue flowers"¦ morning glories, violets and poppies to name a few. The cups have the florals on the inside. The green rim is trimmed by an outer rim in white embossed swags.
The set includes:
12 11" dinner plates
10 8.5" salad plates
8 6.5" saucer/plates
6 demitasse and saucer
6 cup and saucer
6 6" saucers (not shown in picture)
The 6.5" plates and the extra 6" saucers could be used as canapé plates.
This china is high quality and appears to be uncommon. It wasn't in production for long and it is hard for such pieces to survive the years without damage.
What a wonderful way to bring color, flowers and vintage charm to your dining.
