3 SOVIET COLD WAR PROPAGANDA POSTERS. Comprising three Soviet propaganda posters spanning 1965?1987, each professionally translated and highlighting distinct themes of public messaging. Including an almost comical poster promoting physical fitness with a poem by Mikhail Yacovlevich Pustynin (1884?1966), artist N. Ten, 1965; a comical anti-fascist propaganda poster titled The Advocates of "Freedom," condemning colonialism and the Pinochet regime through four illustrated panels and a poem by M. Raskatova, artist A. Krylov, 1979; and an informative Civil Defense poster titled Obligations of Adults to Protect Children When There is a Threat of Enemy Attack, illustrating proper protective measures for children during air, radiation, and chemical alerts, artist A.S. Danilenko, 1987. All contained in attractive exhibition frames glazed with plexiglass. Largest overall measurements 48.5 x 30.5 inches (123.2 x 77.5cm).
