As an avid historian of early recorded sound, I am thrilled to present this remarkable collection of eight Thomas A. Edison phonograph cylinders capturing the historic 1908 presidential campaign speeches of the "Great Commoner," William Jennings Bryan. Manufactured by Thomas A. Edison, Inc. in Orange, New Jersey, these 4-minute records feature definitive political orations including "The Labor Question," "The Tariff Question," "Guaranty of Bank Deposits," and "Swollen Fortunes." They come paired with non-original protective Edison cardboard storage tubes. 5 of the 8 cylinders are in VG condition. Swollen Fortunes has a small chip and fracture on the title end that should not affect the recording. The Tariff Question and The Railroad Question both have light mold.
