Description
An exceptional group of 50 phonograph audio cylinders from the early 20th century, primarily featuring Thomas A. Edison Blue Amberol celluloid records produced in Orange, New Jersey alongside a selection of early black composition titles. This remarkable historical assortment showcases a wide variety of early acoustic entertainment, featuring visible rim titles such as Collins & Harlan's "On San Francisco Bay," Vernon Dalhart's "The Southern Old 97," Ada Jones & Billy Murray's "No Moon Like a Honeymoon," and the patriotic "Fife & Drum Corps Medley." Visually, the cylinders appear in very good antique condition, displaying clean playing surfaces with only light dust, minimal surface scuffs, and expected age-related plaster core discoloration or minor flaking that does not impact the exterior celluloid. H 4.5", W 12", D 24". Please see photos for condition. From the Allen Koenigsberg collection.
