White 3" x 4.5" cut written and signed in black ink by United States Army General George S. Patton. Cut is stamped with the date July 31st, 1944 by the Army Postal Service, and has the location "South Hamilton Mass" written below his name. In very good condition, with some signs of scattered wear, including some slight fading, not affecting his signature. Encapsulated and authenticated by PSA/DNA (#84947703). A paper cut with large text and stamping, the date in which this cut was written was right in the middle of one of WWII's most infamous events- the Battle of Normandy. On August 1st, just one day after this letter was written, Patton's Third Army took most of Brittany and and other territories as a part of Operation Bluecoat in order to secure the town of Vire. A nice artifact from one of WWII's most famous events signed by one of its most legendary generals.
