This pair of mid-century modern art pottery bowls showcases a distinctive primitive modernist aesthetic. Hand-thrown with subtle structural variations, each vessel features a textured, speckled matte glaze. One bowl is in an moss green and the other in a slate blue but their muted palette varies in different light. The exteriors are decorated with a continuous, abstract incised ribbon pattern that reveals the raw, unglazed terracotta clay body underneath. The interiors of the bowls show a high glaze. Sold as a pair.
