This is a vacuum-formed plastic terrain base for the Operation Moon Base playset, manufactured by Louis Marx and Company. The piece depicts a lunar landscape characterized by multiple craters of varying sizes and a large raised central plateau. This plateau features two circular cutouts intended to support additional buildings or structures from the playset. The underside of the item shows a textured, mesh-like finish typical of thin-gauge vacuum-formed plastic from this era. A handwritten adhesive note identifies the piece as Marx Operation Moon Base Terrain vac u Form made. There is also a small yellow inventory label with the numbers A1262 and 0703. This item is offered as the terrain base only.
