This framed cross-stitch needlework features a horizontal composition of eight stylized, faceless figures dressed in colorful traditional garments, identified as Amish-style dolls or children. The figures are separated by geometric star-like motifs and are executed in multi-colored embroidery floss on a tan even-weave fabric ground. The piece is mounted with a wide tan mat and housed in a black-finished frame behind glass. The reverse of the backing board is inscribed with JOANI '77 in marker and features a paper gallery label for Fifth Avenue Galleries, INC. of Columbus, Ohio.
