The clock features a circular molded plastic case with a vibrant blue bezel and a textured black plastic backing. The black dial face displays red Arabic numerals and is encircled by a graphic ring in black and white with the text CUP-O-JAVA - 5 cents and REFILL FREE. Time is indicated by white baton-style hour and minute hands and a red sweep second hand. The dial is marked ART-DIECO in red lettering. The reverse of the clock bears two labels. The first provides maintenance instructions and identifies the piece as MODEL: 6950, ID CODE 1668-D, by CATHAY INTERNATIONAL, marked MADE IN TAIWAN with a production date stamp of 09 18 99. The second is an Underwriters Laboratories label identifying the item as an INDOOR ELECTRIC SIGN, Form 1, No. AM 651306. The unit is equipped with a dual power system requiring a battery for the quartz clock movement and an AC power cord for internal illumination. The cord includes an integrated inline switch.
