Der Ingenieur und Jurist Telemaco Corsi präsentierte die Rectaflex Mod. 947 bereits 1947 auf der Mailänder Expo und startete die Produktion der Rectaflex Standard mit Pentaprismensucher (Serie A.1000) im September 1948 – ein Jahr vor der Zeiss Ikon Contax S. Das hier angebotene Vorserienmodell „Mod. Standard 947“ mit der Seriennummer 0107 (das siebte produzierte Exemplar) zählt zu den allerersten Produkten von Telemaco Corsi. Es stellt ein nahezu unbekanntes Bindeglied und einen entscheidenden Prototyp für die Entwicklung der modernen Spiegelreflexkamera dar. Diese Vorserienmodelle wurden höchstwahrscheinlich zu Test- und Präsentationszwecken eingesetzt. Uns ist nur eine weitere Kamera dieser Art bekannt.

Das Gehäuse weist sehr scharfe Ecken und Kanten sowie etliche weitere signifikante Unterschiede zu der späteren Serienversion auf, vor allem sichtbar im Inneren der Kamera. Der Verschluss ist funktionsfähig, läuft aber nicht präzise ab, der Sucher mit starker Separation. Mit Angenieux Typ Z2 1:2.9/50 mm No. 147706 in Fassung mit Rectaflex STAREA Bajonettanschluss (starke Reinigungsspuren).
Ein historisch wertvolles Exponat – nicht nur für Sammler von Rectaflex Kameras!

Engineer and lawyer Telemaco Corsi unveiled the Rectaflex Mod. 947 on the Milano Expo as early as 1947, and started the production of the Rectaflex Standard with pentaprism viewfinder (Series A.1000) in September 1948, beating the Zeiss Ikon Contax S by one year. The here offered pre-production "Mod. Standard 947" with serial number 0107 (the 07th produced) is among Telemaco Corsi's very first products. An almost unknown missing link and a crucial prototype for the evolution of the modern SLR. These pre-series models were most likely used for testing and presentation purposes. We are only aware of one other camera like this.

The body with very sharp corners and edges and a number of other significant differences to the later serial production version, mostly noticeable on the inside of the camera. Shutter operable but speeds not accurate, strong separation in the reflex finder. With Angenieux Type Z2 50 mm f/2.9 No. 147706 in Rectaflex STAREA bayonet mount (heavy cleaning marks).
