The handles feature a Rococo Revival design with ornate scrolled borders, openwork accents, and relief floral sprays including roses. The bowls are of a standard oval form. The reverse of each handle is stamped with the Gorham manufacturer marks consisting of a lion passant, an anchor in a shield, and a Gothic-style letter G, followed by the words GORHAM STERLING.
