Description
Grouping of Inuit and Native American objects. Comprising a caribou skin drum by Isaaci Etidloie (Inuit, 20th century), sinew-sewn to a bent wood hoop; a pair of sealskin and fur mukluks with beaded and appliqué trim; a seal gut-skin bag, sinew-sewn, with fur tufts and red-dyed skin trim; a beaded figure of an eagle dancer together with associated beaded regalia elements; a carved and painted wood owl on stump base; and a pair of carved antler tines. Inuit and Native American, 20th century.
Provenance: The drum acquired at Alderfer Auction, Hatfield, Pennsylvania, October 22, 2009 (Lot 3020).
