Description
This handcrafted Tamegroute ceramic vase showcases a rich green glaze layered with natural variations, complemented by ornate brass detailing at the top and base. The sculpted form and subtle asymmetry reflect the raw, expressive character of traditional Moroccan pottery.
Shaped by hand using natural clay and finished through ancestral firing techniques, each piece bears unique surface textures, tonal depth, and organic imperfections that speak to its artisanal origin. Crafted in the historic village of Tamegroute in Morocco's Draa Valley, these ceramics come from a rare, family-held tradition preserved by only a small number of workshops. Shaped by hand from local clay and fired in traditional wood-fueled kilns, each piece develops its surface through mineral-rich glaze, ash, heat, and shifting kiln atmosphere.
Subtle differences in firing conditions and even placement inside the kiln create the signature earthy greens and raw tonal variations Tamegroute is known for. No two pieces are ever exactly alike.
