Painted in the 18th-century style Of Fragonnard or Watteau, the Venus clutches her doves of love and Cupid kisses her cheek. Designed in soft pastels and soft edges the whole is softly conceived and abstracted. Mounted in a gilt and linen liner and period style gilt frame. A dedication from past owner remains on the reverse. Size 25.25" tall by 21.5" wide.
