Description: An ornate, gigantic bell designed for devotees of Shakti and/or Devi-shakti. Made from brass, it is a continuous, composite sculpture of the Navadurgas - the nine (‘nava’) roopas (forms) of Devi Durga. The Navadurga figurines are carved along the plane, cylindrical body of the bell. Each Devi is separated from the ones next to Her by a miniature temple pillar standing on an upturned lotus base. The dome-like head of the bell features layers upon layers of engravings resembling a traditional templetop. Immediately below the Navadurga sculptures are rows of swans with their necks bowed and sacred lotus petals. Sturdy brass rings inserted into one another form the chain of this gorgeous bell. On the top and engraved ringlet, on which perch parrots.itemcode: EK42
