Legendary 1976 Seiko 6105 "Capt. Willard" Automatic Dive Watch. This watch was made famous by Martin Sheen's character, Capt. Benjamin Willard, in the 1979 movie, Apocalypse Now. This lot features an asymmetric 44mm "turtle" shaped stainless steel case with bidirectional bezel. Serial # 672157, caseback # 6105-8110, dating production of this specific example to July 1976. Black dial with applied "sugar cube" lumed indexes and "traffic light", running seconds hand. Date window at 3 o'clock. Dial text includes "SEIKO Automatic" and "WATER150M Resist" and "-8009T". Seiko caliber 6105B automatic movement.
