Group of (7) 18th/19th century signed military appointments and honorable discharges, to include: 1798 Governor Increase Sumner, Esq, signed Massachusetts appointment of Lewis Warriner as Captain to a company in the Second Regiment, First Brigade, Fourth Division, countersigned by Secretary John Avery, Jr.; 1822 Governor Dewitt Clinton signed New York appointment of Elijah Kent as a Lieutenant in the Battalion of Infantry in Steuben County, countersigned by Secretary John Van Ness Yates, (tape repaired tear); 1824 Adjutant General William Hyslop Sumner signed Massachusetts resignation of George C. Wilde as Brigade Major and Inspection of the First Brigade and Sixth Division; 1832 Brigadier General Henry Arcularius signed New York resignation of Captain Charles Poling from the First Regiment of the First Brigade of Horse Artillery in the First Division; 1833 Governor Levi Lincoln, Jr. signed Massachusetts appointment of George Patch to Captain of a company in the Second Regiment of Infantry in the Second Brigade and Second Division, countersigned by Secretary Edward D. Together with 1872 Governor John W. Geary signed Certificate of Adjudicated War Damages in the amount of $1,009.03 issued to Alexander Fritz, countersigned by Auditor General John F. Hartranft.

Group of (6) 1860s documents from the "Head Quarters American Guard, 71st Regiment, Light Infantry, New York State Troops", to include: 1862 "Extracts of the Military Laws of the State of New York ...", signed by Colonel Henry Patchen Martin; 1862 "Special Order No. 8"; 1863 "General Order"; 1864 "General Order No. 3"; 1864 "Special Order No. 4"; and 1864 "General Order No. 70".

Group of (8) miscellaneous certificates, licenses and other documents, to include: 1789 "State of Connecticut Pay-Table Office" pay order to Benjamin Henshaw (silversmith); 1819 Treasury Office of Pennsylvania land tax receipt for George Fogleman; 1829 certificate of membership to the Pennsylvania Literary Association of Philadelphia; 1847 Oddfellows certificate of membership issued to La Fayette Mills, Havana Lodge No. 211; 1860s "License of a Vessel Above 20 Tons to Carry on the Coasting Trade for One Year", District of Pittsburgh, issued to H.H. Devenny for the steamship "Manner"; 1897 steamboat engineers license issued to Andrew J. Crockett? in Wythe county (tape repair); 1840 Governor Marcus Morton signed Massachusetts appointment of Samuel Sumner Wilde to Justice of the Peace, countersigned by Secretary John P. Bigelow; (10) Pennsylvania court documents, 1855 and 1887-88, from Williamsport and Lycoming County; and (10) pages from Pennsylvania court and government dockets or ledgers, comprising 1869-70, Williamsport, 1883, unknown, and 1902-03, Harrisburg Executive Chamber.

Group of (3) 19th century American paper currency, to include: Confederate States of America ten-dollar bill; and (2) fractional currency bank notes, one Augusta fifteen-cents bank note, the other a State of South Carolina fifty-cents bank note. Total face value: $10.65.
