Description
Octagonal stand with parquetry top in star and basket-weave patterns, on four tapered legs, underside constructed with reclaimed material (likely from a shipping crate of the Pittsburgh Plate Glass Co.). Likely late 19th century. Overall wear from age and use, alligatored finish on legs. Dimensions approx. 13 3/4" H x 14" x 12 3/4". Provenance: the estate of John Long, highly regarded Virginia antiques dealer and collector.
