This vintage 1:16 scale farm toy is a Tru-Scale Rocket Auger Elevator, model number A-414. The piece is constructed with a red-painted die-cast metal frame, base, and intake hopper. A clear plastic cylindrical tube houses a metal internal screw mechanism, which is manually operated to simulate the movement of grain. The elevator is supported by a red metal braced frame and sits on two white-finished hubs fitted with black rubber tires. Markings on the original cardboard box include the text TRU-SCALE ROCKET AUGER ELEVATOR A-414 and FASCINATING!. The box also features instructional text stating NOT TO BE USED For SAND or DIRT and advertising slogans such as AUTHENTIC MINIATURES ARE TRU-SCALE.
