Description
10x6.5x9 This lot comprises an antique five-piece stackable metal lunch kit, traditionally utilized by industrial laborers such as miners and railroad workers during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The set is composed of five nesting components: a main oval-shaped bucket, two shallow nesting trays, a deep lid with a recessed well, and a small metal drinking cup with a single loop handle. The pieces are constructed from steel with a dark brown oxidized finish. The main bucket is fitted with a wire bail handle and a turned wooden grip. This design is highly characteristic of industrial dinner buckets produced in North America, closely resembling models manufactured by the Atlantic Stamping Company. No manufacturer marks, stamps, or inscriptions were identified on the surfaces of the components.
