This hatchet was made by TM Dowell circa 1960s-1970s. The last hatchet that Dowell made was completed in 1993. Both the blade and haft exhibit mirror polish finish. Micarta wood scales are set with two rivets on each side. Small escutcheon on the obverse scale with the initials "TMD". The hatchet is sheathed in a leather cover stamped with the initials "TMD". Light patina throughout with scattered blemishes. Snaps function. CONDITION: Very good. Blade Length: 4" Overall Length: 13"
