Jay Hendrickson began making knives in 1974 and became a full time knifemaker in 1987 receiving his Master’s Certification in 1989. Jay was one of the ABS members instrumental in the planning and formulation of the W. F. Moran School of Bladesmithing in Washington, Arkansas and the Bladesmith Museum in Little Rock, Arkansas. Jay has made knives for people all over the world but one of the highlights of his knifemaking career was to forge Kukri knives for King Hussein of Jordan. This kukri features a mirror polished blade marked "HENDRICKSON" on obverse ricsso and "M.S." on reverse ricasso. Hidden tang construction with red micarta grip and black micarta pommel.
