PAINTING CHRONOLOGY:
1947 Age 9 - near death accident resulting in life commitment to art.
1958 Became self- supporting in art doing street portraits in Greenwich Village.
1961-1962 Rented street studio for portraits in Provincetown MA.
1962 Opened own portrait gallery in Philadelphia.
1967-1969 Taught art at Montessori School, Santa Cruz, CA.
1973 Opened studio for portrait commissions in San Francisco.
1976-1978 Taught art at DeYoung Museum Art School, San Francisco.
1977 Received grant from Santa Cruz County collectors to paint on-site in the Virgin Islands.
1978 Cross-country trek from San Francisco to Bar Harbor, ME. Began waterscapes, landscapes of round trip for first show at Nimbus Gallery.
1980 Received grant from the Nimbus Gallery, Dallas, to paint on-site across 1500 miles of Mexico.
1980-1983 Settled in Santa Fe. Began serious gallery exhibitions.
1980 Began making my own sandpaper and pastels.
1983-1985 Surveyed and selected community models for self-responsibility portrayed in her show "Double Vision".
1985 Received second grant from Nimbus Gallery, Dallas, to paint on-site across 6000 miles of China.
1986 Received first grant from Harris Gallery, Houston, to paint on-site at Monet's Gardens, Giverny; Cornwall, England; Zwolle, The Netherlands.
1987 Received second grant from Santa Cruz County collectors to paint Childhood Landscapes on-site in Buck's County, Pennsylvania.
1987 Designed and supervised construction of series of quilts to raise funds for the Cabrillo Chorus trip to the Soviet Union.
1988 Sang in Concert tour through the Soviet Union with Cabrillo Chorus.
1990 Received second grant from Harris Gallery, Houston, to paint on- site at Monet's Gardens, Giverny; the gardens of England; and the Scottish Highlands.
1991 Photographed a birth and realized the new series, "Birth"
1992 Previewed the Birth Show in Santa Cruz, CA
1993 Began research for manufacturing my sandpaper.
1995-1996 Began manufacturing company, producing archival sanded pastel paper and Moist Pastel for pastel artists.
1995 Moved to Portland OR
1998 Founded Portland Open Studios, a new city- wide art event.
1999 Writing book 'Open Color'. Still writing 2016
2008 Re-entering my studio, beginning a new body of work.
