The Descent from the Cross (Italian: Deposizione dalla Croce) is a Christian painting by Fra Angelico, executed between 1432 and 1434 for the sacristy known as the Strozzi Chapel of the Basilica of Santa Trinita. It is the main panel of the Altarpiece of Santa Trinita, preserved and exhibited today to the public at the National Museum San Marco in Florence.
