Born in Omaha, NE on Aug. 28, 1872. Viola Pratt began her art studies in Omaha and for four years at the Kansas City Art Institute under J. L. Wallace and Edna Kelly. By 1929 she had moved to Long Beach, CA and continued her studies with Elmer Schofield. The wife of Joseph Stone, she died in Long Beach on April 5, 1958. Exh: Long Beach AA, 1929-33 (1st prize); Ebell Club (LA), 1934 (prize); Clearwater Jr. High School, 1936.
