Exceptional portrait. It has been cleaned, lined and restored. Original frame. A well to do American in his thirties circa 1860. A handsome and arresting presence. This work has weathered the years very well.

The canvas measures 21" x 27" and the frame is 28" x 34" x 2 1/2". There has been some loss of surface and chipping to the finish of the frame.
