Seattle artist Jeanie Walter Walkinshaw (1885-1976)

Education: early 1900s studied in Paris for two years under Lucien Seimon and Rene Mesnard. Continued studies in the US with Robert Henri.

Illustrated On Puget Sound, by Robert Walkinshaw, 1929 and was a well-known Seattle area portrait artist in the early to mid-20th century.

About the subject: Biography of Agnes Howie Chettle Borland Brennen (aka Nane) 1904-1990, Native of Scotland, presented to the Queen in the 1920s, lived in Kincardine Castle, married James Brennen (aka Canada), emigrated from Scotland to the United States (Seattle and then Poulsbo).
