Native American, Southeastern United States, Mississippian Caddo Culture, ca. 900 to 1600 CE. A hand-built Caddo redware bottle, the globular body rising through a dramatically elongated cylindrical neck to a small mouth. The entire surface finished in a smooth matte terracotta red slip. Size: 5.5" D x 10.5" H (14.0 cm D x 26.7 cm H)

Professionally repaired and restored, neck is reattached with overpainting. Restoration with new material and repairs are nearly indiscernible. Faint hairline pressure fissures on the neck and body.
