Graduated from the Krakow Academy of Arts (1956), studied in Kyiv, Leningrad (now St. Petersburg) and Moscow. Painter. The composition of the artist's works is characterized by a kinship with the works of folk painting masters (conditional three-dimensional space, frontality, bringing the main thing to the foreground). The author's works are a harmonious and elegant synthesis of modern artistic means with the simplicity of self-expression inherent in the Ukrainian worldview. Author of thematic canvases, landscapes, still lifes, and sculptures made of forged metal. Member of the Union of Artists of Poland. Worked as a teacher at the Ukrainian Art Union (Philadelphia; 1970s). Participated in exhibitions since 1957. Solo exhibitions included in Nowa Hutia (Poland, 1958), Krakow (1962), Philadelphia (1969–1970), New York (1969), Toronto (1972, 1979), Detroit (1975), Chicago (1978), and Edmonton (1980). Major works include: "Gamalia" (1973), "The Bandura Player" (1994), "Grigory Zozulya" (1999), "Song of the Past," "I'm Coming to You" (2000), and "Kupala" (2001). His works are housed in the museum of the Ukrainian Catholic University in Rome. He lived and worked in Lviv, Krakow, and the USA (since 1968).
