A little history: The beginning of the history of our company is associated with Kaspar Huggler (1806-1846). He started out as a young carver in the workshop of Christian Fischer (1790 - 1848). Kaspar Huggler in turn taught his craft to his son Johann Huggler (1834-1912). The talented woodcarver Johann Huggler became famous as the king of woodcarving of Brienz. He recognized the talent of his son Hans Huggler (1877-1947), to whom he provided the best education available at the time (Academy of Art in Munich). In 1915 he also designed the first nativity scenes, using ?real" people around him as his inspiration for the holy family, wise men, shepherds etc. Hans HUGGLER-WYSS is an artist born in 1877 and deceased in 1947. The artist's works have gone up for sale at public auction 35 times, mostly in the Sculpture-Volume category.
