Edgeworth David’s great national geology map, this is the desirable complete boxed issue on 4 dissected, linen-backed folding sheets, each about 80 x 100 cm. It is one of the landmark continental syntheses of interwar Australian geology, based on state-survey and Commonwealth material, originally published in 1932 with explanatory notes (not present). Institutional examples are at the National Library of Australia, the Library of Congress, and the State Library Victoria. This example was acquired from the Natural History Museum Library (originally the British Museum Library), evidenced by ownership and withdrawal stamps on the back of each sheet. .
