Very good interior condition, some damages to the covers.
With the printed inscription on the inside cover:
"AM Percy, Docteur en Médecine, de l'Academie Royale de Chirurgie, Chirurgien-Major du Regiment de Cavalerie de Berry, a Bethune".
Percy (1754-1825) was one of the most famous French military doctors of the Napoleonic era.
"He attended all the campaigns of the Empire until 1815. In 1800, he advocated for the inviolability of field hospitals" (Hirsch-H. IV, 552).
