Bio:
Wilhelm Kage (1889-1960) was a pivotal figure in Swedish ceramic design and served as artistic director at Gustavsberg from 1917 to 1949. He combined classical forms with a modern expression and created several important series, including Argenta, introduced in the 1930s. The series is distinguished by its characteristic turquoise glaze and hand-inlaid silver decoration.
