During this period he participated in two National Gallery Of Art Competitions in Nigeria and came first runner-up during my third attempt for the tertiary category. His surgeon in art after his participation in Atrium: The Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, National Art Competition, fetched him a professional spot among Nigerian artists in 2013. Due to his line of study in mental health, he started to see clients with psychosocial issues as a result of his work in HIV programming, thus he discovered painting as a therapeutic interpretation of everyday encounters by individuals in society. This led him to develop his own style of contemporary painting called "Broken" which interprets various emotions.
