Egon Schiele (1890-1918) was an Austrian Expressionist painter and a student of Gustav Klimt. He is known for his figure drawings of women, often depicting them in awkward poses to show distress. Schiele created nearly 3,500 artworks, contributing to his popularity as an artist.
