Title: Vintage Hand Made Conical Beaded Necklace, Double Strand. 22". Description: Vintage Hand Made Conical Beaded Necklace, Double Strand. 22". The beads are handmade, lightweight with subtle colors. I've seen others call this wrapped whicker but I do not know that it is. It apepars to be made with bands of something - possibly thin strips of plastic or someother type of material. They are very sturdy and hard - they vary in sizes and thickness typical of hand made pieces. They have a base of a neutral tan color with bands of color, green, black, orange, and appear to be lacquered or sealed . There is a straw glass bead and iridescent blue or purple seed bead on each side of the conical bead with the glass bead between those end seed beads. The wraped beads range from appx. 14mm long and 7mm thick up to 14.8mm long by 11mm thick. It has a plastic barrel clasp that is a pale yellow color that blends in nicely with the shading on the beads. Age is unknown but estimated at 1940's-1960's. They are not marked or sealed.
