19th-century American Federal Pembroke table boasts details like beautifully turned legs terminating in round bun feet and ornately turned wood shaker-style peg drawer knobs. The tabletop extends with two drop leaves supported by decoratively shaped wooden brackets. Two dovetail drawers provide storage. The tabletop may not be original to the table, as the finish and stain color vary slightly from those of the base and legs, though it is an aesthetically and proportionally good match.

It is a charmingly simple, functionally sturdy, and somewhat primitive piece with an honestly worn and rustic patina appropriate for its age.
