This is a fantastic series with split vegetables and fruits depicted in rich colour and detail beautifully rendered in the Trompe l'oeil tradition.

Dimension: Diameter- 9 inches across x 1 inch high.

Marked with label. & Mark: Printed in green-Societa Ceramica Italy with an eagle above and banner K-B for retailer-Binder & Co above and Laveno below and a rectangular box with Made in Italy within and 10-53 (for date of manufacture) as well as hand and brush pointing to FORNASETTI. MILANO/MADE IN ITALY

The plates were produced in the 1950s/60s.This is from 1953 and made on Italian pottery- the earliest period of this design.
