Description
Rare 36 piece Set of 1847 Rogers silverplate flatware by International Silver, discontinued in 1904. This is the stunning Vintage Grape pattern. They are marked Xs Quintuple. "XS Quintuple silverplate is a term for high-quality silver-plated items, typically from the early 1900s, that received an extra-thick plating of silver for increased durability and longevity. The "XS" stands for "extra silver," and "Quintuple" means five times the standard plating thickness. This mark was used by manufacturers like 1847 Rogers Bros. to indicate a superior product before other quality marks were discontinued.
