Measuring approximately 106.7 × 76.2 cm, those works closely correspond with the present painting and provide an important comparative reference.

Condition Report
Oil on canvas professionally relined and secured to a later stretcher.
The painting remains in good decorative order and displays the age-related characteristics expected of a work from the mid-nineteenth century. Stable craquelure is visible across the painted surface, with finer examples evident within the sky and broader craquelure appearing in selected darker passages. These age-related features are entirely consistent with the natural ageing of oil paint and do not detract from the overall presentation.
There is minor paint loss towards the extreme outer edges, while the colours continue to retain good richness and clarity. When viewed normally, the composition displays extremely well and presents as an attractive period work.
The Victorian gilt frame exhibits age-related wear, historic repairs, minor losses and surface cracking consistent with its age. The outer moulding has received sympathetic later overpainting, while the original inner slip displays expected wear and areas of paint loss.
Overall, the painting is ready for immediate display and possesses excellent decorative appeal.
