In our opinion, this is among his finest works.

A nice display size with the frame being 59 cm wide and 52 cm high.

Mounted & set in a decorative later frame & also with a front protective glass cover.

Medium in watercolour on paper backed with board.

Hanging thread on the back ready for immediate wall display.

A rather nice proportion-sized frame being 47 cm wide and 36.5 cm high.

Brief artist biography William Knox a well known British artist who was born during the Victorian era in the year 1862 & he died in 1925. He was a member of the Royal Society of Artists.Knox's works have been exhibited & sold at auction houses around the world the current highest sold price is 2,116 US dollars. He specialised in painting scenes around Venice, he had the great ability to capture & produce atmospheric light hues.

Painting surface is in good overall order condition, having foxing staining in areas. The frame has some scuffs, losses in areas commensurate with usage & age.
