Description:This is a nice woodblock map which follows the course of the Rhine River from beyond Bonn to its mouth. North is oriented to the right. Much detail is provided as to rivers, towns and cities, including Cologne (Coln), Dusseldorf (Deusseldorf), Maastricht (Mastrich), Endhoven (Eindhofen), Rotterdam (Roterdam) Leiden, Delft (Defft) and Amsterdam. Above the map are two elongated ovals of gothic German text and above that, in the upper margin a German title. Another text block fills the lower right corner. German title page on verso. It is from Munster's Cosmographia, and was published by S Petri.
