This vintage 18k yellow gold diamond buckle ring by Granat Bros. reflects mid 20th century American jewelry design, dating to the 1940s to 1950s. Crafted in solid 18k gold and stamped “18K GRANAT,” the ring features a distinctive buckle motif. The top is structured with a geometric buckle form, where one side forms a rectangular frame set with a border of old European cut diamonds, while the opposing band passes through the center, creating a layered, dimensional effect.
The diamonds are a mix of old European cut stones, visible in both the buckle frame and along the band, displaying larger facet patterns and a softer brilliance typical of hand cut diamonds from the period. The central row of diamonds along the band adds continuity to the design, integrating the buckle element. The ring measures 1/2 inch in width, weighs 11.9 grams, and is a size 7.25 with the ability to be resized.
