This 18k gold aquamarine ring is a striking example of the bold, architectural jewelry produced in the 1970s to early 1980s. At the center sits a large emerald-cut aquamarine with natural internal characteristics, set in a smooth, substantial bezel that highlights the stone’s clear blue color. The wide, sculptural gold shank reflects the clean lines and modernist influences of the period, giving the ring a strong, confident presence on the hand.
The ring is crafted in solid 18k yellow gold and weighs 21.9 grams. It measures 7/8 inch across and 3/4 inch from top to bottom on the face, offering an impressive scale without unnecessary ornamentation. The interior is stamped 18K, consistent with small-workshop and studio production of the era. It is currently a size 9.25.
